Possible to get to US SM from London IBD without MBA?

Bit of a precarious situation lads.

I’m a 23 year old analyst in London at GS/JP and my end goal is to end up in a top SM in New York.

I was initially planning on doing an MBA in 4-5 years after having done a couple years in PE after banking. However this plan seems to be thwarted slightly as I am in a serious relationship with an incredible girl whose parents are very against the idea of becoming an additional 200k in debt.

She comes from a very well off family (four story house, multi millionaire etc) who really prizes financial stability before having kids, and she wouldn’t be comfortable having kids if I’m fucking off in the US.

So, given these restrictions what chances do I have with these restrictions assuming I am very good? Would the recommendation be to lateral to the US from my bank or is it possible to relocate from a London based PE firm assuming it’s a MF?
