Pre-MBA HF Internship

I got into H/S deferred program and it’s coming up. I’ve done the typical IB + PE route at well regarded firms. I know that post mba I either want to work at a HF or late stage VC doing tech investing and think doing an internship in both will help me narrow it down. Since I haven’t seen a pre-mba late stage VC internship been done before, I want to do it for a HF. Does anyone know how to go about finding these opportunities? I saw that it’s been done before for HFs. If not, maybe I’ll just gun for a crossover internship instead, but those teams tend to be split publics vs privates and I prefer NY over SF too.
