"Quiz" on intellectual horsepower - how to improve on this?
Hi guys: My boss has a recurring practice that I think is designed to test our intellectual ability - every month, he'd give us a write-up of an old stock that none of us had looked at, and ask us how we think it performed after the write-up. The write up will include business information as well as thesis at the time. It's intentionally made to be a time -pressured process - we will have 60 pages or so of material but only 15 minutes of time, you get the picture.
I'm not very experienced at this, but can any experienced analysts and PMs out there share some light on what are the most important information to pay attention to in this limited time, key points to must know / think about / form a view on, and what are the key points to mention upfront when we are asked our opinions please? (we are only given 3-5 sentences to respond in person, not counting answer to follow up questions). Thanks!
