If you've already received a positive response from HR, it's best to wait for the next steps to be communicated rather than reaching out to the PM directly. Based on the most helpful WSO content, reaching out prematurely could come across as overly eager or bypassing the process. However, if you do decide to reach out, ensure your message is professional, concise, and focused on expressing your interest in learning more about the role or team, rather than appearing to push for a decision. Always consider the fine line between being persistent and being perceived as too forward.

Bad idea, just wait. If the PM wants to interview you then they will reach out and if they don’t then they won’t. You can’t short circuit that by directly contacting them and it’s possible that it sinks your chances before you even start. BD teams also HATE when you go outside of their process until you’ve at least spoke with the PM a few times so best to not run afoul with them too.
