Reaching out Etiquette

This could have been posted in any of the forums, but I choose HF as I am actively looking for hedge fund summer internships as a sophomore this year. I have been reaching out to people via LinkedIn and setting up networking / informational phone calls. I have been able to get my resume out there and make connections with people at a variety of firms. My question is, what is the etiquette I should be using when I reach back out to them, wondering if they have any updates on my resume or any new information on potential internships. My issue is that I do not want to be forgotten, but at the same time, I understand people are super busy and I don't want to come off as pushy, aggressive or annoying. Was wondering how I could lightly re reach out to these connections I've made to see if they have any updates for me, without coming off as aggressive. Would it be better to just not re-reach out to them at all?

When you guys are talking about "money making stock ideas" i'm assuming youre talking about stock pitches / case studies? I have lots of stock pitches I have done for clubs and class that I could send them. However, I'm just wondering if they would actually care if I send it to them? I'm just wary if they would take a college sophomores pitch / idea seriously, especially older guys that have a lot of experience in the industry and have seen / made plenty of good pitches. Also, wondering how to reach out to them with the pitch / case study? Just say "Hey, here's this stock pitch I made if you wanted to take a look"?
