Response Time Between Interviews at Quant Firms

For quant summer internship interviews, do firms usually get back to candidates quickly (within 1–2 days) if they are moving them to the next round? Or is it normal for it to take more than a few days or even a week to hear back after mid-round technical interviews?

I recently completed a series of technical rounds on the same day, and it's been three days without any update. I reached out to HR, and the recruiter responded saying that they would have an update for me soon. They also looped in another recruiter and said that she would be my point of contact going forward.

I’m trying not to overthink it, but does that imply anything? Is it simply that they are delegating workload to another recruiter while they continue reviewing candidates? I reached out because I have an exploding offer (non-quant), so timing matters for me.
