Are you at H/W/S/Y? I heard they usually pick finalists from there. Don't stress, they're probably hammering out work right now to read pitches. just look at their returns for 1Q...
Thanks for the response! ya, definitely thought about that... wasn't sure if they actually read the pitches or just skim and look at attached resume. At a semi-target and will be at HF this summer so thought I would give it a shot even if odds are against me.
Do you have any insight into how many finalists they take? Quality of the pitches? Competition trickled through my network so don't actually know that much about it
how'd you hear about the competition. Was it on their website? Any insight would be helpful for the future. (I'm a freshman btw)
I'm sure they care about the quality of the pitch more than your school. Have a couple of friends there - one just left to start his own fund. Last time I checked, there were 3 finalists - prefer sophomores. Quality of pitches was super high - 10 pagers involved industry calls, granular model, and deep dives. Good luck!
