No idea about how competitive it is. Read up on it on their site. It's called the Flyer Fund. 

Not suggesting you attend Dayton and I wouldn't attend anywhere based on their fund but I would use it as a factor in determining where I want to apply / attend. Lots of schools have these opportunities to learn. Dayton runs theirs like a real fund and I understand it's a major time commitment. I know two kids who "worked" there and both are at major firms. Different outcome than the typical kid who would attend Dayton. My guess is that same kid would have done really well anywhere.

 

Student fize doesn't matter as much as just getting a good understanding of the process. Check out this thread for a pretty great list overall though of notable ones.
