Short Term Focused Hedge Funds
Are there any large short term focused hedge funds out there, if so then what are there names? I am asking this because I am very passionate about the markets but do not like the idea of long-term investing for a career since many of your ideas never even go through and would not want to wait multiple years to reap the benefits for an idea that did go through. This is why I lean more towards a strategy with a time frame within a year. So, regardless of which asset class or strategy used, it would be greatly helpful if someone can point out the short term focused hedge funds out there, thanks.

There are ton of successful and scalable short-term groups in major hedge funds, for example Citadel, MLP, DEShaw, GSA, 2Sigma, etc. Also there is a ton of "prop" firms which do have pure "buy side" groups with similar results. If you are interested in discretionary business, the answer is very similar -- there are many successful groups in Citadel, MLP, ... which do trade short term.

Basically every single multi-manager. I would rather say 1 year is not a short term.
Do the short term MM pods just but the stocks that they thing will beat earnings, if so then when do they take their position in relation to the expected date for the earnings announcement? Also, apart from the MM’s are there any other short term focused hedge funds?
I meat to say Just buy*, not just but
all HFs are short term focused until the ideas start losing money, then they become long term deep value funds
