Should I mention thesis example?

Hey everyone,

I am finalizing my cover letter for an internship position in a hedge fund. During that internship my focus should lie on research and writing a master thesis. This will be discussed between me, my potential company, and my supervisor (from the university).

Is it wise to include an example on which thesis subjects you are interested in (for example liquidity risk on hedge funds returns) or should I leave it blank in my cover letter?

I think that if I mention an example that the recruiters will think that that particular subject is the only thing I am interested in and not in their ideas about possible subjects (and see my resume and cover letter ending in the dumpster)

So, what should I do? Include or not include an example of a master thesis subject?
