SM HF that still does channel check / extensive DD?
Have been talking to a few firms , and had the feeling DD has been super quick (2-3 days, 5 days an idea, etc), mostly data based or maybe look at what competitors/customers are saying if they're public companies.
Is this right or am I not meeting the right firm? Sounds like people are moving away from channel check / primary research these days?
Curious does your fund still do channel checks this sort of thing? If so, how long does it take to work on an idea?
Lastly, can ppl name a few HF that still does extensive DD?
