So what is the deal on these guys? I can't find any info on them - anywhere. Can anyone provide any insight?
They posted a few jobs with descriptions promising wealth beyond your wildest imagination for top candidates but I typically associate secrecy with sketchiness, am I wrong in this instance?
They're a legitimate firm. They have less than 30 employees and a bit $1b AUM, but are very profitable. The firm was spun off from D.E. Shaw by one of Shaw's earliest employees. They interview a lot, but rarely hire. I interviewed with them a while back, but it went nowhere.
Any insight into the interview process or what they're looking for? More out of curiosity than actually hope for an offer.
The interview wasn't technical. I think enthusiasm and fit are what they're looking for, at least in the first round.
