Starting in Finance when older?

Hello,

I would like to know of any examples, either from posters on this forum or potentially more famous examples of people beginning in finance, specifically hedge funds, at an older age. The majority of examples I found were quant or systematic types who are phd academics who left to join or start funds. I would be especially interested to hear any non quant examples. Thanks
