Tiger Cub in US from MF PE in Europe?

TL/DR: Is it possible to recruit for a US Tiger Cub from MF PE in Europe? Any advice?

2nd year associate at MF PE (APO/KKR/BX) in London, previously at GS/MS/JPM , and previously 2 years of cumulative internship/part time work while at university at a >$1Bn L/S HF in Europe. (disregard my title, need to update it)

I'm thinking about recruiting for HFs in NY, specifically Tiger Cubs/Baupost..etc as I have their standard recruiting background EXCEPT I am not in the US...

Has anyone seen this happen before? Would you suggest any headhunters (don't know the US ones)? Would a direct networking (LinkedIn?) approach work better?

I know that these funds sponsor H1B visas but I'm also guessing most of them are international MBA grads

Yes. Obviously people working at MF PE in Asia/Europe have exited to tiger cubs in the past.

I imagine that in the majority of circumstances it is people who are more senior then you though. Because they have established that they are more of a true vaue-add by the time they become senior.

You should network with people who have done this.

Plan B would be to get an MBA at HSW but even then admission isn't guaranteed and not sure that any tiger cubs recruit from MBA programs (feel free to correct me though).
