What would you say is the most efficient and most effective way to get into large Tiger cubs like Coatue, Tiger, Viking, lone pine, and D1? I’m currently applying to colleges and would like to know what would be the best path to get a job at one of these places.

A cursory look at current analysts on linkedin tells me top school -> GS/MS/JPM/top EB IBD -> MF PE -> tiger cub.
Is business school necessary? I’m guessing most would go to HBS/GBS/Wharton?

You need to start losing money as soon as possible to build a track record. Start buying growth stocks ASAP.

Don’t know what’s more of an eye-roll, the incessant posts from people who don’t bother searching or the schadenfreude dripping dunkings from people pretending they wouldn’t have killed to work there a few short months ago
I'd still give my left nut to work at one, unless they blow up there will be a rebound for many I'm sure. Tech will continue to be the single largest component of the major indices going forward regardless of how bad this bubble pop is. Slightly less confident there won't be some large outflows and I have no doubt some of them will never reach the same scale.
The irony is: the folks who really will end up at these shops are grinding hard at mega PE or reading and thinking. The folks who have 0% chance, well they are here asking Google-able questions.
There is no cohort in between those two types of people.
