Top Hedge Funds on the West Coast and exit opps?
Assuming one starting their ib analyst gig at a good west coast shop, are there ample hf oppurtunites in the west or is it mostly dominated by pe? Also is it realistic to work at a west coast hf for 2 years then go to hbs/wharton and transtion to an east coast fund?
I don't have exact figures but there are a number of HFs on the West Coast...transitioning from one coast to the other should theoretically also be possible without having to go through an MBA program

I'm particularly interested in HF that do research then apply their theories to investments like AQR. Are there any HF on the west coast that have a similar approach?
