Top mezzanine credit fund -> career opportunitities

Curious about what people believe are the exit opportunities from a two year associate position at a top Mezzanine fund (think Oaktree/Crescent/GS). Equity-like investing analysis oriented vs bare bones lending

Specificaly thinking about an opportunistic credit job afterwards (my ultimate goal) but curious what thoughts are about going from there to PE as well

Thank you all in advance
