Transfer from FoF to Hedge Fund after 2-3 years

Hi I am starting to work at a FoF which is doing PE, infrastructure and private debt. Currently I am holding an undergraduate degree but I am planning to start with the King´s College Msc Banking and Finance. I will do the Msc besides my work of the FoF. My goal is to transfer into a HF after graduating from King´s College in 2-3 years. What do think are the chances or is my start at the FoF a dead-end?

“He was very responsive and prepared for the meeting. He actually read the JD, resume, and looked up linkedin which sometimes other mentors doesn't actually go over those to prepare things beforehand. I appreciate his direct comments I think it saved time and actually helped me to know exactly where to improve. I also appreciated him admitting if he doesn't know about specific HF strategy. Only thing I'd suggest for him is probably sending actionable key takeaways after the meeting because other mentors did and that was very helpful. ”
