Does anyone know of any research shops that map industry value chains/supply chains well for public markets?
Apart from finding the rare SS industry primer or using IBIS (which sucks) I've only found Cleveland Research to offer something compelling but it is quite expensive and limited to US co's.
Anything input would be appreciated.
Mike Mauboussin wrote a popular paper on measuring moats where he included such analysis on airlines (below). I suspect Credit Suisse HOLT has this data for all sectors (I'm unsure)?

You can always do it yourself. I doubt you can find that readily available from the sell-side for every industry.
sell-side ER have internal training docs on every sector that shows value chain, prob useful to get your hands on one
SPLC function in Bloomberg. Maps out suppliers, customers, and % makeup of COGS, revenue for each based on financial statements, earnings calls and other sources (all cited). By no means a perfect solution but definitely a helpful starting point
