Video Game Hedge Fund Managers - How to Find
Hi guys, I'm looking for hedge fund managers that have airtime with CEOs at top gaming companies (e.g., EA, ATVI, TTWO, etc.). Does anyone here have any leads for how to figure this out? Not looking for ER, looking for investors.
I was thinking maybe I could find transcripts from some of the big industry events but they don't always have questions by HFs. Conferences like DICE.
I also was thinking maybe I could just ask a video gaming coverage banker but they generally don't interface much with HFs so not sure they would know.
I don't see anything where anyone but the ER guys ask questions on earnings calls but not sure.
Ideas? Basically, need to find the PMs who are the top 10 guys who spend the most of their professional time focused on gaming. I need to talk to them.
Use Whalewisdom to find the top shareholders of a name. For example, looks like Chase Coleman is a big enough holder of TTWO.
Now, email him and tell him I NEED TO TALK TO YOU. Make sure to use that exact phrase. And do the same to Gavin Baker at Atreides Management.
My cousin’s friend works corp dev at activision. I’m sure she regrets making that shift lol
Bobby Staruss and Andrew rarely do investor meetings. It used to be Chris+Dennis/Karl+Lainie/Chris+Blake and now it's Armin/Karl+Lainie/Stu
It's a dying sector with ATVI off the table. Know a guy who does a lot of gaming stuff but they're rare and few in between now
