Macro trumped micro in the past 2-3 years. There are so many examples I can think of where the underlying bull thesis got hammered by the changing macro conditions.
We are in a new era of higher inflation and interest rate volatility regime. I'm still very early and young in my career but it's been a great learning experience watching from the sidelines.
