I heard this firm used to be top notch but recently had to sell their HFT business. Just curious on the current thought of employees / industry peers. Is it easy to go from Quant Dev at Teza to QD / QR at other places like HRT / Jump / Janestreet, etc?

Teza has a terrible reputation ever since they stopped making money in HFT and tried to pivot to stat arb. I would stay far away. Their returns have been terrible
correct. Sold off hft arm to quantlabs; stat arb performance is.... not strong. Then again, stat arb as an asset class has been weak over last 5 years and poor performance especially in last 2-3.
