What should I do to maximize my chances of getting into the big boy financial institutions in NY, Chicago, Miami, etc.

I'm a senior in high school probably gonna get accepted to UT Austin. Any tips on being able to get to the big boy finance type of jobs in a big city? I know the basics like get good grades, get into a good school (Sadly couldn't get into an ivy league), and network. But is there any thing else that I could do to maximize my chances?
