What sort of mathematical skills are needed for IB?

I am just wondering what exactly is expected in terms of mathematical knowledge, or skills to work in IB. In addition to that, What's the variance of math needed throughout finance in general (IB, PE, HF, AM). I've scoured through some articles online about this topic, and the answers are very contrasting for IB especially, (From basic arithmetic and algebra to linear algebra and calculus). By the way, I am a prospective monkey considering a career in finance, so any helpful answers would be greatly appreciated.

For IB: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division…and almost all of that will be done in excel. I don’t view mathematical ability as crucial to the job. Unless you’re reeeeally bad with numbers and can’t catch mistakes by eyeballing figures and outputs. Talking about things like an EV/EBITDA calc that is coming in high and you have the correct EV, you should know that EBITDA is low.

Haha I haven't thought about that website since I was recruiting but nothing crazy like a 30 or so. I'm not talking about being a trader/quant where a really high score there is desirable, but I just mean it looks good to be able to answer almost instantly when your MD asks a simple question like "how much will we make in fees on this" or something like that.
