What's your note-taking/learning system?
Figuring out how to get into a good system of noting down ideas and learnings. e.g., when I come across a good KPI for a certain industry or a good valuation methodology, would like to summarize it for future reference.
For those that have been in the industry for a while, what's your note-taking system? Do you use pen and paper or cloud? What type of stuff do you note down? Anything else people are willing to share?
Microsoft OneNote. Can organize your notes into tabs and pages. When I first started I used to just keep a rolling word file but OneNote has been a game changer.
Have you compared OneNote with Evernote and is so what were the pros/cons?
No, I've never heard of Evernote. I would assume most people haven't heard of OneNote either. I didn't even realize I had OneNote as part of the MOS until I went out looking for something better than word
I haven't tried OneNote, but Evernote was a game changer for me. My go to for any notes that can't be handled by quickly writing on legal pad.
iPad pro. Sync it with icloud on Notability and you're good to go. No more papers to handle...everything in an expenseive "notepad"
