When to look for a job?

I am supposed to be graduating in May from my PhD program and am leaning strongly towards working in the financial private sector, preferably on the buy side.

I have been looking for jobs in the past month but it seems harder with people not able to do in person interviews and in general busy because of the turmoil in markets. Would you recommend I try to delay graduation and try again at a better time? September?

Thanks!
