Is there anyway to find out which firm does the audits for a specific hedge fund? Or in the reverse is there so filing that discloses which Hedge Funds each Big 4 is contracted to Audit? If there is I would appreciate some insight, thanks in advance.

Sorry, obviously not every hedge fund, that would be fucking absurd but major ones/some sort of listing etc.
It is sometimes listed in quarterly letters or performance updates
Besides the Big 4, Rothstein Kass has a very good hedge fund practice; I'm sure other New York boutiques probably have good practices as well. In addition to auditors, many funds outsource fund accounting/book keeping to a third-party trustee or administrator.
Thanks guys, I should have been more specific. I know a guy that's way up in auditing at a Big 4 and wanted to leverage that into a connection if and when I start trying to go that route later one. I was hoping to find a list or something of the funds that he audits and just happen to mention my interest in one of them. A bit over the top, maybe, but effective nontheless. Thanks again for the input.
I'd be surprised if he would have much influence aside from BO/accounting roles. Just being frank from my previous experience working at the Big 4.
