Why you need to read to get Sr. Positions

Hello all, many think networking is the key and the only way to attain senior positions. While this may be somewhat true, you have some hope.

When cold calling Hedge Funds or even emailing, HF's want your ideas. They want your genius ideas to incorporate in their fund.

History repeats itself

You need to study the past!! Lots of cycles keep reoccurring, you need to use this to your advantage, it's almost like Deja Vu.

Although this is the first nuclear age, but stock market wise it is the same. Observe repeating cycles and act upon it, if you see that something from the past is occurring again, invest there!! Likely a similar outcome will come in the future.

If you show HF's that you are studying the past and acting upon it investment wise, they will have great respect for you. Most senior employees at these HF's read, read, and read, because history truly does repeat itself.

I highly suggest reading "One Up on Wall Street" by Peter Lynch, he goes in great depth about these concepts and provides many examples.
