Am I being cheap ?

Hello fellow chimps,

I’m an Ana2 with approx $140k package in a low-tax country. Managed to put $110k aside in 2 years (was earning a bit less last year) but I might quit before becoming Asso - for a slightly less paying job.

Even with these savings I’m still hesitating to buy $200 shoes or other mid-priced clothes, or even a watch that I know would not loose value that’s around $9k.

I’m constantly investing my savings and telling myself that these materialistic things don’t really matter, but as time goes on it I might be catching the itch of spending a few of my hard earned money on a watch, a nice suitcase/camera/car or whatever my Instagram feed shows me. But in the end I never go ahead and buy these items, telling myself that this money will be better used elsewhere.

Curious to hear your thoughts. Where do you put your limit on these spendings ? Do you just say fuck it I’ll make more money later ? thoughts.? Curious
