Angry Birds IPO

Angry Birds creator, Rovio Entertainment is targeting an IPO soon to give them a market cap of around 956M to 1.1B. The IPO is scheduled for September 29th. Shares are targeted to be around $12.20 to $12.30, hoping to raise $36 million for the company.

The company is completely based on Angry Birds, including their toys, clothes, and movie (which is planning a sequel in 2019). Revenue growth was a whopping 94% last year following their movie and game growth. Read more about it here.

  • Is this stock priced correctly? Any ECM Monkeys here?
  • Are you buying this stock? Growth seems strong and the mobile gaming industry is huge.
  • Why is Rovio Entertainment only doing their IPO now? It seems like Angry Birds was much more popular in my city a few years ago.
