Interesting, but for the first round they wouldn't know your "polished" or where you interned unless they check your linkedin i guess, or if your knowledge is presented in such a way on the abstract that it makes you seem "polished" but its just the one page stock abstract, then if your selected from that, then you actually go to harvard and meet with the judges and such, but I get what your saying in terms of those things helping you out when actually presenting the pitch in the next round

 

Ok thanks that answers my question, also what makes one "polished" in finance. By this I mean how do you become polished?, is it just through reading a lot, being involved with finance related activities and having good internships? I too know some very polished people in finance however I have always wondered how they get to that level specifically, as I obviously get the general idea of how that they study a lot and such but its just been a sort of curiosity to me, I am very intrigued with people who are able to craft their words in such a eloquent manner and always having great ideas and having things to say, like one of the partners at my current firm.
