Net Change in Cash vs. Free Cash Flow - what is the difference?
Hello Monkeys,
Looking at Spotify's Cash Flow Statement (link below), there is a line called "Net Change in Cash," (4th up from the bottom) which is the sum of Net Operating Cash Flow, Net Investment Cash Flow, Net Financing Cash Flow and the Exchange Rate Effect. But how did they get from that to Free Cash Flow? It seems to me like how they calcuated Net Change in Cash is how we would typically calculate FCF but they have a separate line for FCF and the numbers are quite different.
Any thoughts on this? What is the difference between the two and how do you get to FCF from Net Change in Cash Flow or any of the other lines on this Cash Flow Statement?
