Twilio's IPO: Should I Buy?
Pros:
The company is in the enviable position of expanding rapidly in a massive market.Specifically, Twilio’s base revenue is increasing at a compound average growth rate of 81%. Yet, in dollar terms, it’s barely scratching the surface, with $166 million in sales in an estimated $47 billion market, according to IDC.
Cons: Twilio has never made profit in the past. Last year, they actually lost $38.9 million.
Twilio will trade beginning Thursday on the NYSE, at $15/share.
Is this an attractive investment?
