So... I recently had a first round phone interview with no technicals at a MM, did I do something wrong? Not sure if this is customary as I believe they drop in some technicals as the interview goes by.

it can be unpredictable when they drop technical questions, but my first 2 interviews didnt really have traditional technical questions. i got some in my third interview but it was never too difficult. I was a lateral hire tho
Had the same experience. Made it to the final round at a MM and only one technical question was asked throughout all interviews...Very unexpected to say the least.
Also had the opposite experience tho for a job I didnt get. I was expecting the first interview to be like "Tell me about yourself" but right off the bat the guy was like tell me how you would value a single site wind turbine. I was like brooo
Haha I've also been there before too. Dude came out of the gate just firing off technicals. At this point in my career, I feel like I've seen it all. Especially having switched careers a few times.
