1st Year Analyst Bonus Advice
I know it's a while away from July/August, but do second-year analysts / current associates have any suggestions on how to impress in the weeks/months leading up to the decision?
I guess what I'm wondering is whether the decision is based holistically on year-round performance or if the most recent months carry more weight since it's just fresh in people's minds.
I have been giving it my all these past few months. I know there's room for improvement always but I am trying to have as positive of an attitude as possible around my team and be as helpful as I can.
It's holistic. Recent performance matters more to the extent it reflects the cumulative knowledge/ability you've built over time, but this isn't something you can just turn on over the last few months.
At the one year point, it's usually very obvious who has put in the work to really learn the job vs. who has been going through the motions.
thanks, good to know!
