1st Year Planning to Quit - What's Next?

Hey all, banking is not for me so easy enough decision on that front. However, I'm struggling with figuring out what's next. Feeling a bit lost without the structure of on campus recruiting and not sure how to go about the job hunt. I'm very open about the roles I'd be willing to work in, so is it just a matter of applying on LinkedIn? Hoping others can speak to their job hunt post-banking for those who didn't go the PE/VC/HF route. Thanks.

I gave my 2 weeks notice 16 days ago (funnily enough LinkedIn suggested me to apply to the Analyst posting my bank created last week to replace my departure LOL), because I just didn't have enough time to conduct proper research on industries & companies I'm interested in. I want to leave banking&finance too. Don't expect to find a job days after you quit, it takes some time, so it is good to have some savings to eat in in the meanwhile.

LinkedIn is a useful tool to apply for jobs. Utilize your friends, alumni as well. They will be okay with referring you to HR, since usually large corporations have referral incentives...

Not premed. Will be taking classes this year along with getting the necessary ECs to get in the following year. Med schools like the non-trads actually. They're starting to realize that having work experience and being professional is very helpful going into med school than having to learn it after it. Most students before would just go straight from college to med school so they haven't had any actual work experience. Definitely at more of an advantage and am looked at in a more positive light than cookie cutter pre-meds right out of college.

Not sure why I’m getting MS, but imagine knowing you’re going to take on $200k of debt with no income for the next 8+ years just to make the same amount you would in IB
