2020 SA Recruiting for International Student

Hey monkeys! This is my first post on WSO but have been following the discussions for years. I'm a sophomore international student(F-1) at a regional target down south. I feel like my best bet is in Houston since there are only about 5 kids out 60 get placed into NY office each year. As I talk to a PE guy the other day, he mentioned that many Houston offices are tend to not sponsor international kids whereas NY seems like more flexible. He's not sure about the recruiting now either since he's been on buyside for years.

I'm hoping that yall can share some information regarding sponsorship situation for 2020 recruiting. Although Houston seems like my best bet, I'll take every opportunity I have during the recruiting process; so any information regarding any location is greatly appreciated. Many thanks!
