Career Resources
Around 33k pretax at BB NY
40K pre tax, overtime be hitting
CA?
At GS and $25k pretax… interns are $85k pro rata and only paid 1/2 normal rate for overtime.
So you get paid less money for everything past 40 hrs? Are they incentivizing you not to work overtime?
Yes, 0.5x past 40 hours. So essentially half, or more than half of total comp was from OT
Can anyone explain the justification for 0.5x--can't really understand why that would be the case
Math checks out. Some people prestige whore hard enough that GS can pay like this and people will still want to intern/work there.
And, frankly, the post tax earnings delta over SA is peanuts compared to the career that a platform like GS could provide you. The OT rate shouldn't factor at all into a prospect's decision of where to intern/sign.
19K at JPM: no OT lol pain
23.5k at GS. Prorated at 85k and 0.5x OT
45k pre tax, ot was heavily utilized
52k pre tax at wells NY
Holy — did they work you to the bone or was your pro rata/OT rate just that good?
Wells pays 1.5x on $53/hr
Gotta be cap, I also got payed the same rate and this kid woulda had to work 90-100 hour weeks. No way in hell Wells Fargo has that much deal flow or work for an intern
BofA?
26k at CS
a little less than $20k pretax at JPM. adding signing bonus would be $22.5k
Post tax sf — 24k pocketed
