Saw a similar post in 2018 but I'm wondering what everyone thinks about DB currently. What are the exit opportunities? How does it compare to MM banks? I understand that group placement might matter a lot, but since most of the offers now are generalist, any general discussion about this would be appreciated. Mostly concerned about IBD NYC.

US Exits seem really solid from top groups. DB seems to be doing much, much better over the last 1-2 years.Your mileage may vary though depending on group placement
In London (my input is less substantiated here), but I heard they’re stellar there.
Exit ops are miles ahead of MM, there’s a clear cut off between BB and everything else. You get plenty of solid looks from DB / CS / UBS. More so on the individual to be prepared.
This is a good point. Students on the forum will rank BBs and it blurs the understanding that any BB is a BB and there isn’t a lack of opportunity at any of them.
