2025 Lateraling/Rerecruiting

Looking to hear how the lateral market is shaping up this year. For reference I am an SA at a tier 2/3 city trying to gauge the market, and how it is looking for either re-recruiting or lateraling in general down the road.

I am happy in general with my group, but just looking to get a little more exposure to larger deals and get a change of scenery.

Curious to hear opinions on if these reasons warrant a re-recruit or if I have it good and should stick it out for a year or 2. On average the team works 50-65 hrs a week and is very laid back.

Also, any advice on both would be much appreciated, I come from a non target and recruiting was a pain the first time around, so if anyone has experience re-recruiting from this position I’d love to hear. Thanks in advance!

I’m currently a IB SA in a tier 2 city at a regional boutique that does M&A. I just got put on a live deal so my resume will be pretty polished for FT recruiting. I ideally want to start in NYC FT. Should I only target MMs? Or should I try my luck with BBs and EBs? Any advice is appreciated.
