2nd and 3rd tier IB locations
How hard do you think it is to get into IB/PE/HF in a major financial hub (NY, London, HK) coming from IB in a country or location that is not a financial hub?
For example Mexico City, Santiago(Chile), or Sao Paulo?
I'm guessing it's more plausible after a target MBA but is it possible without it? Also assuming non-intra-company transfers?
Anyone with first hand experience?
Thanks for your input
If you're coming from South / Central America, why not look at the various banks' LatAm groups? I'm sure you'd be a strong candidate at any one of 'em.
Its all about the emerging markets. Think before going to London/NY simply for the prestige...
I worked at a smaller IB
