Accepted BB Offer- Now Invited to Visit Offices Before Internship- Normal?
I'll keep it brief:
I accepted an offer from a BB for a summer internship. I've been in minor contact (1-2 emails a piece) with my interviewers and all have invited me to the offices before the internship starts in June.
Is this normal? If so, is there really anything to gain from visiting the offices? It is highly unlikely I'll be working with 2 out of the 3 interviewers.
I live in NY, so the offices are only 15 mns away as well.
Just go -- it can't hurt.
Yes it happens, know plenty of people who visited earlier.... they've also flown in from various areas of the country to do so. You have no excuse not to.
Bring our A-game. Remember that just as much as you have to perform during your internship, you also want people who like you in order to get the return offer.
Follow up visit also can be helpful in getting a desired group assignment, if currently you have an unspecified offer

Why wouldn't you want to go? And what on earth would your excuse be as to why you couldn't visit them once in 5 months, considering they know you live 15 minutes away? (I mean, I guess Covid...)
