Accommodation NY FT 2021

I received an offer to start FT in NY beginning in Summer 2021.

In terms of renting, when should I begin my search for accommodation?

Has COVID changed the renting process much and how do I go about finding roommates?

I have no friends or contacts in the city as of now, so I would appreciate any advice. Thanks!

Agree on 1-2 months for sure. There’ll be apartments available every week. And yes, it’ll still be expensive but don’t be the guy or girl that moves in the weekend before training starts. That’ll suck and you’ll still be moving your stuff around after training ends each day.

Who knows on prices in a year from now. Depends on the building, their vacancy, etc. Some buildings are like $1,000 cheaper per month plus 3 months free. Others are about the same as they were pre-Covid.
