Admin Work as IB Analyst - Normal?

I'm a second year analyst at a BB bank in a more niche group that focuses more on financings. I like the sector and transactions I work on, but the amount of BS admin work is getting really annoying.

I'm constantly coordinating to find time to schedule calls and send out invites, need to order catering and book rooms for in-person meetings, ordering deal toys, conflicts check, onboarding, etc. I understand that analysts have to do a lot of the grunt work, but I think since my team structure is very top heavy (4 juniors, 10 seniors), all this admin stuff adds up across all the different senior bankers we need to support.

This is really taking away so much time from doing actual banking work. Feels like I'm just going through the motions and not getting a true understanding of the transaction structures and analysis on the deals I'm staffed on. Just feels like I'm just going through processes instead.

I would think the admin staff and an operations team would focus more on this, but I could be wrong, so trying to understand if this is normal across the industry or if it's just my team.
