Advice: Family M&A Opportunity

Current undergrad junior faced with an opportunity in which I’d greatly appreciate some external input. My father has been in IB for a few decades, years ago he chose to forego the politics and start his own M&A advisory shop. Thanks to a lack of maturity and any sort of purpose, I failed to check off all the necessary boxes to have any chance placing at a BB, or even MM bank. That being said, until recently, a career in IB had never really crossed my mind (have been pursuing REPE), but it dawned on me that, as long as I can add real value, I have this great opportunity to learn and work for my father.
