Advice for College Junior

I am finishing my third year at a non-target school as an Economics major.

I am primarily interested in Decentralized Finance and Blockchain applications, but am not intrigued by its current state of inconsistency and slow adoption. Right now I have a Investment Banking SA position at a top BB lined up, but it is not what I am as passionate about.

My plan is to try to over-perform in the summer internship, try to network after receiving FT offer and hopefully land something in the bank’s blockchain or digital asset group.

Is this a good plan or any other pathways anyone experienced would recommend? Will I be worse off then people who started their career with a DeFi focus? Does it even matter?
