I transfered as well back in college, from a total non-target to a target. I assume that you transferred to Cornell from a less reputable institution. Assuming that is the case, leverage that story. For example... fresh out of high school you were unsure of where you wanted to go and what you wanted to do, but after taking a course in xyz (economics?) you realized you wanted something more rigorous/competitive. So what did you do? You got your ass into Cornell!

Also, I know you transferred to Cornell to be academically challenged or whatever, but your primary focus in the first quarter at your new school is to make as many friends as possible. Everyone who has worked at a bank should know your name by December. Knowing people who have already gone through the process at Cornell (assuming they like you) will be your greatest asset.

Hope this helps. Cheers!
