Advised to put only major gpa 3.7 (Cum: 3.4) will this raise flags?
Sophomore at a semi-target, have a 3.7 major GPA and was advised to only include this and omit my cum which is a 3.4.
I have two banking internships and unique startup experience. What would you recommend?
Not a smart move. If I only see a Major GPA, I would immediately assume your cGPA is subpar (~3.00/4.00). 3.4 is not extremely bad just include both your cgpa and your major gpa together. But ensure that your major gpa is correct, have had a friend who encountered problems when someone checked out his transcript and the numbers didn't add up...
I think the general rule of thumb is that if any GPA is hidden, it's below 3.0, so in this case it would be beneficial to keep it on, just put it second to the major GPA so that the more advertised one is the higher one
