AI in High finance, future prospects

Hi all,

I am a prospective candidate for high finance, I have not started my undergrad,I just graduated high school .I am planning to pursue finance, starting with a STEM degree, and after which take a shot at recruiting, and if now, I would want to go to a pre experience masters program, preferably at a target school, later on. My undergrad is in a semi target, in a math heavy program, to balance my finance growth, im planning on certifications, which would help me at internship which would later help me for hiring or future masters aspirations. This is just my background.

I want to ask the people, right now on the jobs, what role do you think AI is going to play, I hear that pitch decks, basic modeling etc, are all being automated and only discretionary and relationship jobs might survive, I know its still maybe to early to know, but a word from the people on the front line is worth its weight in gold.

It would be amazing, if you could tell me if I want to land a job is buy side, or IB, what AI skills do I need to build, I know I cannot compete with AI, and would survive if I can join hands with it . My goal is to become a finance candidate with a quant edge, (also I don't want to be pigeonholed to somewhere in the back.)

thanks a lot in advance
