AI in IB - is coverage safer than product?

Coverage is more of the sales/industry/relationship side so naturally feels safer from AI. Half of what M&A does is grunt VDR work which can and should be automated. The other half (modeling) can partially be automated. I imagine it’s the same for other product groups who do more process management vs selling. If you’re an undergrad student going into IB, should you lean coverage?
